Dr. Colleen Kristofor is a native of Philadelphia and was inspired to become an orthodontist when she had braces as a teenager. She completed her undergraduate degree in Business Management at St. Joseph's University. She then moved to Chicago to attend Northwestern University Dental School for her Doctor of Dental Science degree, graduating with honors. Dr. Colleen received the American Society of Dentistry for Children's Merit Certificate for outstanding interest and proficiency in children's dentistry upon graduation. She continued her specialty training at Northwestern University, obtaining a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology and a certificate in Orthodontics.
She worked in private practice in Chicago for many years and is happy to return to the Philadelphia area. Dr. Colleen's professional affiliations include the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association, the American Dental Association, and the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists. Dr. Colleen is trained in the latest techniques and keeps current with advances in orthodontics by attending frequent continuing education seminars. She is committed to providing quality orthodontic care with a warm, gentle approach.
Some of her most rewarding experiences have been providing dental care for the underserved in remote areas of Peru & Honduras and working as an adjunct assistant professor at the UIC Craniofacial Center.
Outside of the office, Dr. Colleen enjoys spending time with family and friends, cycling, running and sailing
